    Might want to clean it out and take a close look, those packed folds could get infected and/or cause the swelling you are seeing on the other side of it. There was another thread on this previously.

    How long have the scales been that raised? Sometimes the underlying tissue is so scarred taht the scales will never look right again.

    It might......but looks like a significant case of scaly leg mites going on there too.

    Then it might not be 'bumblefoot', which is a funny/colloquial name for an infected wound on the foot. Swollen joints could be some other ailment, like possibly gout. It would be best to start a new thread with pics of the birds feet showing the swelling, and details asked for here.

    I would use the iodine only if infection appears to be present..... .....otherwise, or in addition too, an antibiotic ointment (without pain relief ingredients) everyday to keep area moist will help it heal faster.

    Bumblefoot is usually a staph infection....so similarity is possible.
