The duckling is doing great. While changing the hobble I noticed that the leg is starting to correct itself. He/she is also much more stable and active and is starting to eat and explore.

Okay thanks. I just am paranoid especially with the condition this duckling is currently in. I read something on that website and I saw a picture of a chick that looks almost exactly how the duckling looks. Apparently hobbles can fix it which should be easy enough. I can't thank you guys enough...

The duckling hatched yesterday and was assisted. He/she is drinking, but not eating. Should I open her bill and put a piece of food in to see if he/she will eat it?

The second duckling died :( Now the poor baby is alone. His/her walking is getting better and is bright and cheery. I'm gonna put a stuffed animal in the brooder and will definitely add vinegar to the water. Thanks for the support everyone, it's really helped.

Thanks everyone. I just noticed that the legs also cross so I think the poor little guy was born a cripple. He can't walk at all and has to crawl. I'm going to do my best for him. I think I'm gonna try hobbling and using cskotex's idea. I hope this poor little guy gets better.

One of the ducklings feet is curled and they can't walk. I'll try to take pictures tomorrow. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

As I look at them they look more like pure bred mallards than Khaki/Mallard crosses or WH/Mallard crosses. I know that the mallard part is more dominant, but I am intrigued as to what they will look like as they (hopefully) age?

Good news! One of the ducklings doesn't actually have that much yolk left and is almost all the way out. The other one seems more lively and is moving it's head more. It's much less worse than I thought. Still not going to get my hopes up, but at least it's some hope.

Thank you! It is white and papery. I hope they make it. The third was dead when I candled it and it looks like it died of suffocation upon further investigation. I'm keeping the humidity up high and spraying them every so often.

Hi everyone, I was just wondering how to know if a duckling is becoming "shrink wrapped" during hatching. The membrane isn't stuck to the shell and it's tightly wrapped around the duckling. Is this normal?
