I ve been putting in dandelion with root/dirt. They ignore dandelion but the rootball totally dissapeers I'm assuming this is the grit they need. My chicks just past 2 weeks old so treats small spouts one day and egg yolk another day. They catch mosquitoes on there own. Sylvia
