Are they using the grit? =/

I have some chick grit in with my 5, 2 1/2 week old chicks and want to start introducing treats but I don't think they're using the grit :/ I've had the chick grit in with them for a week or so to get them ready for treats but it doesn't seem like they are using it. A little bit has been kicked onto the floor but its not disappearing so I was a little hesitant to start giving treats if they aren't getting the grit they need.

How big is the grit? Mine ate it to the point I was worried they weren't going to get enough food. At that age it shouldn't be much more than course sand.

I ve been putting in dandelion with root/dirt. They ignore dandelion but the rootball totally dissapeers

I'm assuming this is the grit they need. My chicks just past 2 weeks old so treats small spouts one day and egg yolk another day. They catch mosquitoes on there own.

I have been giving mine bird gravel only last week or so once I gave them a few meal worms. They are almost 5 weeks old. They eat this ok.
