I was just talking about the first book to start. I'll make a thread with no determined start date.

I have, and enjoyed it, then I read it in school, which ruined it and now I hate it.

We could all start the same day, and make sure everyone has their books.

Guys.....I had a great idea.....because so many of us need to read the hunger games, we can have a Hunger Games read along! We can make a thread and everyone reads a chapter every something (every day, every week, every 2 days, this can be negotiated easily) and talks about it!!!

The War that Saved My Life and A Night Divided are both AMAZING.

I also forgot to do genres: I like fantasy, mystery (esp. of the murder variety), YA, and realistic fiction.

Where the Red Fern Grows was a tear jerker for me. I avoid reading it because I know it'll make me sad.

I prefer a recurve bow.

Dystopian fantasy? Question mark? Not very confident about my labeling skills tbh.

No the character had purpose and meaning and she was the best and she had a great relationship with Katniss and I am already crying because this was so emotionally devastating that on my fourth time reading these damn books I still cry just thinking about it-

The Golden Compass is great!!!! The Amber Spyglass and The Subtle Knife were really confusing for me, though.

Amazingly written? Yes. Page turner? Yes. Will make you cry when *character that diDN"T NEED TO DIE* dies? Yes.

Gorey? No. A bit upsetting? Yes. A must read series? Yes.

This one won't cause you emotional pain as much.........Mockingjay from the hunger games though? TEARS. ANGER. THROWING THE BOOK ACROSS THE ROOM.
