Ok I may see if I can find out about this dg stuff cause right now I just have dirt. I took aerial rake and raked dirt real good today. Loosening it and getting up most of the pop. Then I shoveled it into a bucket and sprinkled DE on the ground and they instantly went to scratchin lol!

What is dg mix? I have sprinkled it in the nesting boxed and in with pine shavings in floor if coop. Mix it with the food? Why do I do that??

I haven't managed to get any sand yet and my run is becoming a stinky mess. I was thinking of taking a heavy rake and taking dirt and shoveling out the yucky and should I put DE DOWN on the dirt

Ok I have questions. I can relate to the people who talk about big muddy messy runs, that's what mine is like after two days of rain. And the smell is not very pleasant. If I put down sand, what do I do about scrapes I throw out to them? Also if I go with sand do I mix in some DE with it?? Love...
