I'm too old and slow to chase him around with a net, lol, but I might be able to put a wheelbarrow of feed in his area and wait for him to jump in to eat!
About two years ago I was doing a rooster roundup and grabbed one with really long, sharp spurs. That spur went deep into the the palm of my hand. My hand got infected pretty bad. It happened to DH once too, so now I trim them if I have them caught for something like a beak trim.
Okay, that makes sense. With my boy, I'm pretty sure his is due to a deformity. I'll have to take a closer look the next time I catch him, but I think he has a misalignment that's causing problem.
