Here in the US, tie-wrap = zip-tie. Do the ones you used look like mine? If not, can you post a picture of one?

This is what I use (those are 4" & 8" tie-wraps): I too have left them on too long, :oops:, and this pair of cutter works very well to get them of without doing more damaged to the leg.

For the same reason, I use tie-wraps too.

Can you get some small wire cutters? Like the size one would use to cut 30 AWG wire?
