SO adorable!! I can't wait until I get back from vacation and can hatch some chicks! I will be getting some hatching eggs from a local breeder who has awesome Silkies. Her porcelain hen took Champion NSV at the Stockton, CA Nationals last weekend. She will be taking one of my Catdance roosters...

They are all so pretty! Love seeing your pictures and updates! My 2 porcelain boys were producing some nice porcelain colored chicks with my porcelain hens, but in this last batch the chicks are mostly buff colored. Odd since the parents are the same. I think I will use my mostly lavender...

My babies have feathered in with too much buff coloring. Sorry to hear you lost your lavender rooster. Looks like I need a lavender rooster as well. I do have a half brother to my pullets that is porcelain x lavender, but he is a lavender splash. Will probably give him a try and see what I get...

Congratulations on the wins! You did great! How many porcelains were you competing against? Did your black take a first? It is helpful for me to see what the judges are looking for. Thanks for posting the results and pictures!

So far none of the lavender x porcelain have been solid lavender, only porcelain and lavender splash. The porcelains out of the lavender are really pretty though, so she is helping with my porcelain project.

They are turning out really nice!! I have 5 I hatched two weeks ago out of my porcelain roosters x lavender and porcelain hen. 3 I can't tell if they are going to be porcelain or lavender. 2 are obvious porcelains with the same coloring as the pullet I posted a picture of a little while back...

Thank-you She is a very sweet girl. The self blue cream is my favorite Silkie color. Second favorite is the lavender. My original 5 (2 self blue cream roosters and 3 hens- 1 self blue cream, 1 lavender and 1 white) are all from eggs I bought from Catdance Silkies.
