    Hen Acting Like A Rooster

Not all Cochins are bantams. :-) There are standard Cochins and bantam Cochins. Some LF too. Same with silkies. Some breeds can have bantam counterparts and some are true bantams. And yes not all bantam rooster crows are the same.

My bantam roosters are not quiet! Their crows aren't as noisy as standard rooster´s crowing.

    Hen Acting Like A Rooster

I love your hen´s crowing. My cockatiel enjoys listening to it, haha! Buddy is 3. The hen she was wing dropping was 8. She came with 3 sisters she still has all of them except one died. The hen (8) is new and looks a lot like her old sister and now hangs with the group.

Ok, thanks! When I did not keep roosters, many hens started crowing and being dominant. Interesting!

    Hen Acting Like A Rooster

I have a hen who is three years old. Her name is Buddy and she is a lot like a rooster. She was wing-dropping an old (8) hen the other day. I have 2 roosters too. Any ideas on why she acts like a rooster when other roosters are around?
