Hen Acting Like A Rooster

I've got a 3 month old bantam cockerel still inside. He does crow but he is so squeaky I can't hear him a floor down, he will get louder as I have had noisier ones that are outside but even the crows are louder than them and the indoor one is very well behaved, he only crows when I'm around lol, rest of the time peace and quiet. Really glad their noise has worked out (so far)
My bantam roosters are not quiet! Their crows aren't as noisy as standard rooster´s crowing.

My d’uccle hen sometimes drops her wing to other hens. So does my serama/d’uccle hen. At least one of my hens went through a phase of crowing (I don’t know if the most recent crower was the same hen). My d’uccle also pecks me when she’s broody, but only while she’s not on the nest.
You have a Serama x D´uccle?! They are my favorite chicken!
That is interesting. Buddy has not crowed recently, she did a year or so ago.

ok well in my time lurking I've seen people lump a lot of different breeds in with bantams so I know not all bantams are quiet.
Cochins are bantams and apparently very noisy.
I would not consider a silkie to be a bantam but most of the time when someone points out their bantam is loud, they have a silkie.

Not all Cochins are bantams. :)
There are standard Cochins and bantam Cochins. Some LF too.
Same with silkies.

Some breeds can have bantam counterparts and some are true bantams. And yes not all bantam rooster crows are the same.
