THANKS every one for your great help, it went wonderfully today and didn't even stop my most scared/jumpiest of chicken from laying a lovely egg and everything feels lice free, in a weeks time im going to put more powder on them and in the nests not a whole clean out.

should i clean out the roost, nesting boxes change all the straw remove all food and water form run then powder all the hens and put them in a confined area in the run. wait for it all to dry then let them back into the whole run?

is it like flea powder for cats and dogs that you put over every hen and there roost or do you have to feed it to them, and do you have to put it over everything they touch. Also how do lice kill chickens?

100% sure that what my hens have is lice, 200% sure it came for the wild pigeons that roamed my run feeding on mixed seed, which i now dont feed my hens due to this problem BUT 0% on treatment, weather i should even bother/need to treat the lice or that i need to do something, in this case WHAT...
