    I had 2 of those and I usually would get about 12 eggs a week from both so I'm guessing about 6 each. Production Red hens are usually better layers than The heritage breeds like your RIR, but RIR's usually lay for a longer time than Production reds, so there's ups and downs to both.

    This are my Silkie X Production Red chicks they are 15 weeks old And this other 2 are 6 week olds in this picture. Its interesting seems like all 5 are pullets. And if thats true then that means 100% pullets and no roos from my silkie crosses.
