Pregnant guinea pig... I think. 3 MO UPDATE pg. 9

Quote: If you want to get show quality piggies to show, find a show in your area and go to one so that you can talk to breeders and see actual show quality piggies that they can go over and tell you why or why not a piggie would do well up on the show table. You can also see different breeds...

Pregnant guinea pig... I think. 3 MO UPDATE pg. 9

awwwww, what a cute little baby! I am sorry the others didnt make it but with that many she is lucky that she was able to carry them long enough for the one to make it. They sit ontop of their babies to nurse so if you see him/her tucked up underneath mom, its proably nursing.

really if you can have them caged with same sex buddies there is no advantage to having guinea pigs neutered like rabbits. It wont change personality, guinea pigs don't usually fight even adult boys, there isn't as big of a risk for reproductive cancers like in rabbits and guinea pigs don't...

Pregnant guinea pig... I think. 3 MO UPDATE pg. 9

Hopefulley the delivery goes smooth and if she has a baby of each sex keep one for each piggie so that they can each have their own same sex buddy to pal around with without the risk of pregnancy. It is sad that they cant be together but right now it is best that they arent together.

Pregnant guinea pig... I think. 3 MO UPDATE pg. 9

Quote: That would explain why "she" hasnt been looking pregnant. LOL, Make sure Lulu is now out of the cage into his own separate cage so there wont be any breedbacks. I just found the cutest pig at Petco the other day and it was in the girls cage and I told the employee I wanted to look at...

Pregnant guinea pig... I think. 3 MO UPDATE pg. 9

Aww he was a pretty boy! I am guessing that the babies will be red/wht Golden agouti/red/wht black/wht or TSW though like said you can never expect anything with guinea pigs as they are usually a genetic surprise and you never know what they are hiding in their backgrounds. I cant believe...

Sunny is big! I can see her waddling in the video. Babies probably pretty soon. I would just make sure she is getting plenty of "the good stuff" and not handle her too much. Shes got a big belly going there from what I can see. Lulu is an American or AmericanX and she may not be pregnant. If...

Pregnant guinea pig... I think. 3 MO UPDATE pg. 9

Looks like Sunny is an Abbyssinian(breed) or Abby mix in golden agouti/red/white(color or variety) she is cute! Abbys are harder to tell from pics because they tend to have big hips that sort of make it look like she is pregnant when she may not be. But in the newer picture she does look...

Pregnant guinea pig... I think. 3 MO UPDATE pg. 9

By your description it could very well be that the first pig is well on her way to babies. The other may have longer to go or may not be bred you will just have to wait and see how she grows. Personally I have never had an issue with switching feeds on pregnant or sick pigs that I have taken...

Pregnant guinea pig... I think. 3 MO UPDATE pg. 9

the two females will be ok together they will even help with eachothers babies. Some breeders wont keep two pregnant females together as they feel that when the first goes into labor and the second pig is helping clean up and eating afterbirth etc. that she may get some hormones that could put...

Pregnant guinea pig... I think. 3 MO UPDATE pg. 9

guinea pig gestation is about 69 days. Size of the litter isnt going to effect due dates much, and litter sizes from 2-4 are common though 1 or 5 is also just fine. Guinea pigs become pear shaped when pregnant. You can start to feel baby kicks around 2 weeks before they are due. If they are...
