The Canada Geese at my place are molting right now. Over a week I found a bunch of their primary flight feathers when I mowed near the pond. Their baby is getting its flight feathers in so I think they molt at the same time so they are ready to travel at the end of June. They are always gone...

I think I’ll stick with critters that can’t kill me. :) I’m actually into fiber arts so will look at maybe wooly sheep if I can’t get comfortable with the alpaca risks. Still need to do some more research and maybe put out the hot wire to see if that helps with the dog problem.

I think there are too many risks all the way around. The dogs are really nice and I would hate for something to happen to them because their owners are too stupid to keep them confined to their own property. I’d also feel horrible if one of those “nice doggies” hurt my emu. I’ll just stick...
