    How can you tell if they will be coronation or light? I have no idea if mine are splits they are ggf stock is all I know? My roo is molting, and I put the bag down to spread some starter food for them as mom won't move them very far. Thanks. Here they are about 3/4 days old.

    Well, one hatched in the bator yesterday. The ones under the hen are due to hatch Sunday, she got locked out while stretching her legs a week in, but I candled them last night and they appear to be fine? So we will see. Hoping at least one more hatches inside so this little guy has company!

    In answer to my own question, yes. I put two batches in the bater (have 7 looking good, some on day 14 some on day 8), and she started to sit, 5 days after I took the second batch from her, she is sitting on 5!

    Are the sussex broody at all. My coronation hen just started to lay for me, can incubate, but if she would do it I would let her. Thanks
