Thank you! This was helpful. I believe it is a pullet as well now. I'm not seeing any other signs of a rooster. Just the long tail feathers and the comb is the same as the other two. When mine are mean or aggressive they go to one out in the dog kennel. They haven't been mean since.

Mines butt feathers look like the ones on the RIR you posted a pic of. The rest of the stuff just doesn't look like a rooster so idk what to do......so this should be a pullet? I mean it's comb and wattles have barely started growing in.

The colors in mine aren't really those. He's pretty dark black plus some brownish in his neck feathers. The middle one is the one in question.

I have noticed a lot of feathers laying on ground in their box lately. Could it be the early molt? So it could not be a roo? What do you mean by light barring and darker barring?

Thank you! Id really appreciate it. I'm attached to these little ones and they follow me everywhere. It would be so hard to give him up if he's a roo. I'm never ended up with a too so I don't know how to tell. He just looks so different than the other two.

What do the barred rock Roos look like? I have two 3 year old barred rock hens.

The tail feathers are pretty straight on this one they're just really long. The other two don't have tail feathers like that but they're all starting to get red in the comb and wattles.

I got them at Wardell feed in wheat ridge colorado. They are about two months old.

So they could all be pullets not a rooster? I ordered all pullets. I'll look up what the Roos look like now for the BLS.

They were supposed to all be black stars but I don't think that's what they are. This is the only one that has the long tail feathers

It's tail feathers are so much longer than the other two that I have. Does anyone know of this is a rooster instead of a hen? Here's another one The middle one in the below pictures is the one I'm worried may be a rooster
