I'm going with OEGB mix of mixes
  2. fluffycrow

    Rare chicken ID

We can't really figure out what they're mixed with. Unfortunately unless we can get some more info about them (like for example a description of either parent) this may very well be a case where the closer you'll get to an answer is "mix breed"

These chickens are in the US, but OP said as a general statement that there aren't any mixes in Aus. And I get that. We don't have many rare breeds either (we have a BUNCH of mixes), but we're getting better at it

Oh I remember her. I really like her. She just proves that they can be crosses and backcrosses with a lot of different breeds

    Rare chicken ID

I don't think Australia is lacking in the mix breed department, but let's see what @Somewhere_In_The_Clouds has to say
  6. fluffycrow

    Rare chicken ID

Yup. Weird thing is, both looked the same color in the video
  7. fluffycrow

    Rare chicken ID

Agreed. At best they're mixes of them, but highly doubt that too

Oh forgot to mention. In the daylight photos what you were saying about their color is very clear @MysteryChicken

Aha. I saw these birds in their Instagram, but they didn't look the same as the ones in the video. Anyways. They claim they're serama. They're not. Possibly serama OEGB cross, although I don't know how the color genetics would play out

On mine they look just like how my black birds look when I flash a bright light, or take a photo using flash, at night. You're probably right though

    Rare chicken ID

Huh. On my screen the color is coming off as a silver birchen. Pretty much black body with silver on the hackles
  12. fluffycrow

    Rare chicken ID

Oh, so it's the color you like. In this case, look into silver birchen Modern Game Bantams

    Rare chicken ID

I see. I would agree with Jed and MysteryC, they are mix breeds. But they are pretty similar to OEGB'S, Dutch bantams and such, so if you're looking for breeds to get, look into those

Not pure Dutch bantam, probably a mix. But why do you need to identify them?
  15. fluffycrow

    Rare chicken ID

Yeah they mostly have parrots, but they do have chickens. May I ask why you'd like to know what breed these two are?

    Rare chicken ID

I was talking about the actual sanctuary from which the page got the small video
  17. fluffycrow

    Rare chicken ID

I wasn't talking about the video you posted
  18. fluffycrow

    Rare chicken ID

Where exactly? I didn't see them
  19. fluffycrow

    Rare chicken ID

Good call. Kikiriki is still a really broad term, so I typically refrain from using it, unless I can't come up with any other breed or mix

OK. I went back to the very first video or photo ever shared on YouTube or Instagram, and I still Cound find this video, so I am going to make an educated guess and sat that they are either OEGB's, or Dutch bantams, or a mix of those, as is the case with most of their flock. There is a slight...
