I too have heard Baytril works great. Thanks for posting what the vet said about TYLAN50 vs. BAYTRIL. I have a hen w/ an eye infection, from being pecked in the eye, and she is on MEGA doses of Baytril /Metacam and Zosyn for 10 days now......with just a minimal inprovement. Which makes me sad...

I honestly do not believe they are equivelent. There is a reason why one is RX only and the other is Over the counter. For one I know that Baytril is stronger..... just saying.....have done the vet route and "do it yourself" route. Quote:

Where do you live in LA?? There are TONS of place to get meds IF you know where to look. I live right off the 60/605 junction and I can get just about everything one would need. Definitely you have a respritory infection going on.......you need meds in them ASAP. Feed Stores you can get meds...
