I would say Leavenworth, lots of mountains and trees, rivers and close to wenatchee, (which is dryer) but it is a bigger town.

I had momma hen on 3 eggs, 2 hatched this morning and one had a pip. I covered her nest box and brought in the new borns for brooder box-ing. Then I went back to remove the old shells, and the cover was off box, and I could not find the pip egg. I guess ma got into a fight with hen who removed...

I know! she was the boss of the whole chick pen I chose her from. (5,000 sebrights world wide ) and there was only one other sebright. but she was more winged so I thought it was a girl. Backyard poultry magazine has an article about sebrights too! I want to breed her with a blue of some sort...

gunna try and hatch a double yolk-er I know they don't normally hatch. this is a bigg-in' so we will see. it is a BCM and SS mix along with more of those eggs.
just hatched 8/10 neighbor eggs (dual purpose hybrids) one is Amercauna. Eggs from vet and store due 16th or so are still in the running...(hatch wise)
Oh and my rooster is fertilizing some of my eggs not all. he is a SS.
