    Ive also hatched a few more using the carton; last night I hatched some blue and black orps, and I really like how it keeps things very neat and tidy. Im sold on the idea for sure.

    I was surprised, too; maybe they were just too comfy there! One hatched last night, and this morning she was still sitting in her shell; I thought that was too long and was afraid she'd get stuck. I have Brahmas hatching (hopefully) this weekend; Ill see if they have a little more oomph in...

    I put 4 of Jody's EE's in the egg carton, and all 4 hatched. The only problem I found is that they chicks didnt get out of their shells....they just sat there for hours. I finally dumped them out, because I didnt want them getting stuck. I have another hatch happening this weekend, brahmas...

    I have had one hatch, and 2 more are pipped. I dont know what I should do about the humidity; if I should get it up to between 70-80% or keep it a bit lower.

    I have just moved 4 of Jody's EE's into the hatcher, tonight is the end of day 18. They've candled well up to now, as well as a total newb like me can tell. They are in an egg carton, so the experiment continues..

    This is remarkable, it really is. I have eggs in the bator right now, some EE's, brahmas, blue orps, and black orps (how did I get so many eggs????). Im going to do exactly as you did. My humidity is staying a bit low just because the humidity is low right now. I have some cardboard egg...
