Ok all you southern ca chicken people we are in. Coop is built and I found Black Star pullets in Ramona. They are in the coop now. They have a 7x7 run that is hardware wire secure from predators, racoons etc. Do you all close them into the coop each night? They sleep in there but the door...- hensbythesea

Yea I am new to this site and husband is building our coop right now. We live in old carlsbad 4 hens allowed 40 ft from neighbors. Does anyone know of a good place to get poulets or hens? RIR EE or Marans would be lovely.- hensbythesea
