I don't know why it's so hard to find insurance. Log homes don't have a higher burn rate, maybe it's the expense? You might also look at brokers. They can give quotes for multiple companies and might be a help.

I think your best bet are Farm Bureau and State Farm.

Have you tried farm bureau? Liberty mutual? State farm? Do a search but I would try farm bureau first. I am an insurance agent but not with farm bureau. I know they usually have pretty good rates.
