Well, our BBB's imprinted on us and we were trying to keep them out in the yard and not in the oven. We have Slates and Royals now, but the BBB's were just so much easier going fellas. They succumbed to Spradle Leg (had to put them down).
Good for Thanksgiving, but that's as far as one...
Are you planning on harvesting them for food, or keeping them for pets? This makes a big difference in how you manage their diets. They are just as active as the heritage breeds (will try flying) up until about three months. Thereafter they don't stray far from the ground or the feeders...
