Some more photos of the black chick. Can someone explain how you can tell this is a rooster? I thought that if they had bumps on their comb bit, that was indicative of roosters, but this one is smooth? I'd be keen to know how to figure it out for future reference!
Here's some more, I think this is as close as ill be able to get! Funny, I thought both had similar combs, but the frizzles is bumpy and the black on is smooth.
I can try. It's a bit hard, they are pretty skittish. Usually my boys are better at catching them than I am, but the bigger they get the faster and smarter they get!
Both of them have bumpy bits, but not sure if you'd call them a comb! Different to the rest of our chickens, so hard for me too tell!
Both are 2 months and 10 days old, so about 10 weeks?
And no, the other older on is definitely a hen, she's been laying eggs for us for ages!
Fairy sure the black is a roo, but I've also never had this breed, so could be wrong! both are 2 months and 10 days old.
