Yeah thats why I bought a second set of buttons so that I can have new blood to introduce into the clan once I start breeding. If a female dies, I would be left with one button but now I have the possibility to have buttons and introduce a new female in, in the event of an untimely...
Wow I actually feel honored to talk to you lol. I hear great reviews about your eggs and buttons that hatch from them. I spent a long time reading your guest book. I have looked at your page SEVERAL times. So 5-6 years for females, how about the males, same or longer?
Not sure entirely with the males, but females lifespan is typically 18mos but can live longer if taken very good care of. And my 8 week old buttons are already mating
Yeah I already had my tanks and stuff, I pay 10 bucks for the bedding and it lasts me 6mos at a time lol. and the 5lbs bag of feed lasts me at least a month. But yeah I really wanted a proved breeding pair. I really want to try to breed them XD

If it is mites what do I do for it? Sorry if I sound silly. I am thinking that is indeed what they may have female has a bald rump and male is missing feather in areas but just spots.
Okay I got a new pair of buttons today who did mention in her ad they were molting, well I am new to buttons, and am still unsure if "all birds molt"... They look healthy, act healthy, she says they are a mated pair that has produced eggs. They just look a little ratty so I was wondering if I...
