2 ducklings hatched!!!! Think a blue and yellow and a black and yellow.

And a chick won on who would hatch first. Lol First duckling pipped Wed between 8-10:50 am. 2nd around 6pm First chick pipped Thurs between 4-6:30pm First chick hatched Fri at like 10:45am. Lol

This is so nerve wracking!!!!! 7 duck eggs pipped 4 chicks. First duck egg to pip is now around 45-48 hrs since pip!!!! I am soooo nervous/worried but waiting till 48 hrs from when I saw it to assist if needed.

There are now 4 duck eggs pipped. Nothing else going on with them. And 2 chicken eggs pipped. The first duck eggs pipped 37-40 hrs ago, first chicken egg 5-8 hrs ago. So now the race to see who hatches first. Lol

Ugh 5 more days..... Hoooo hummmm maybe I will get lucky like my friend that her ducklings pipped by day 25 and hatched on day 26, well most of them. Lol

The 3 chicks that hatched from my "duck" eggs. Lol. If I was keeping them they would get duck names!!!!

So far 2 chicks hatched,1 still pipped and nothing else going on so hopefully the rest are ducks

Well imagine my surprise when I was getting ready to candle, cool and mist and thought I heard loud peeping. Start to candle.... Hear quiet peeping.... Get about halfway and pick up an egg and it peeps very loud at me.... Noticed it was pipped, externally!!! Quickly replace it, take out the egg...

That stinks!!!!! Hopefully the rest of yours do well. What day are you on??

So far the 14th egg is still in there but I removed the others I also have 18 chicken eggs going with 15 hatching the same day as the ducklings and 3 about 4 days later.

Today is day 20. So about 8 more days till hatch day. I think I only have 13 still going. I think one quit between wed and Thurs. Thought there was no movement Wed and veins seemed light and not many. Then I finally saw movement so thought all was good. Looked yesterday and no movement and...

Well candled. I had 5 for sure that quit. Another one that I am pretty sure quit. Then one that looked like maybe it was starting to quit. So far I saw 7 chicken eggs starting to develop

They are on day 10. So think I start cooking and misting them...... Lol. Will candle and see how they are doing. Some look a couple days behind so do I cool and mist those or no?? @New duck mommy 2021 @SilverBirds
