I don't know about the person that has a bird not drinking. I didn't give advice on one that's not drinking. I only posted what worked for me. Yes, people are entitled to their opinions. I never said they weren't. There's no reason to be ill-mannered or mean spirited and call their suggestion or...
Good information, Kathy. By the way, I used about 1/3 large jar in the water, which is probably how it reached kidney's/liver and not just the digestive tract with the grain. I also used it grain.
Oh, and another thing, cayenne obviously worked for the individual who originally posted the remedy on the internet. I followed that person's advice and put A LOT of cayenne in the water.
You sure are an ill-mannered, sour, rude individual. I posted WHAT WORKED FOR ME, AND MY TURKEY. Wow, thanks for the reminding me not to post any suggestions or helpful advise on this forum in the future. Chicken keeping sure does make for some ill individuals. Here's a tidbit for ya. What works...
Well, like I mentioned above, what choice do you have when the nest was destroyed by equipment and the only thing I had to hatch the egg was a chicken? She's pen-raised. What would you recommend doing? There are two hens with her in a large run and I just started free ranging. I'd love to know a...
That's great you found this article. I had not seen it and wasn't sure of the dosage. Tomorrow, I'm going to pepper my girls again. Our vet told me Emtryl is banned, no one can even get it. I was trying to get Emtryl for a sick bull, but it's a very powerful, dangerous drug and that's why it was...
Right, I read it's a parasite deep in the liver and everything I found on the internet said worming does not cure it. The sulfur colored, loose droppings were the only sympton. Caught it in 24 hrs. What drug cures it? I spoke with ideal poultry which is a large breeder and two vets. Both told me...
I don't have the link, I saw it on a forum. In fact 1-2 people jumped the lady for being irresponsible about posting something like that. I thought they were fools for jumping on her since there is no cure for blackhead. I just did the same thing that worked for her and that was a heavy dose of...
I didn't notice any different taste. The cayenne was in the feed for about a week. First 3 days I used a lot. In fact, it's time for another dose of cayenne, I'm thinking.
Several months ago my pen-raised wild turkey came down with the dreaded blackhead back when she was 4 months old. I caught it within the 1st 24 hours and doused the feed and water with Cayenne pepper. I'm talking a jar in a matter of 3 days. It worked right away, the 1st 24 hours the hen had...
