Here is another update so I was wrong they both of them lay because I saw ratty patty in the egg box at 12 and I just went there to go check and there is an egg so it has been confirmed I have 2 layers now case closed

I have never heard of it lol sounds fun

I think that only Ratatouille is laying because I just went out there and she was in the nest box and I found an egg under her but ratty patty was in the egg box but then waited for her to be done so that they could go eat grass if i find another egg then that would 100% mean i have 2 layers...

I know for a fact that they won't go broody but it's just me being myself and wanting to collect the eggs right away lol. There is a chance they would go broody but I'm not worried about it.

I made a poll to get some opinions

If i get two eggs tomorrow would that confirm that I have 2 layers

For some more calefaction I went out there at 8:30 and both of them were out of the coop I went and checked the egg box and I saw an egg and then after that Ratty Patty was singing then i saw both of them in the egg box around 9:45 but ratatouille was laying down

I know but my mother said that when she had a broody hen there is this horrible smell and see told me to collect the eggs as soon as they are laid

I know but I don't want them to get like attached to the egg or for them to eat it or crack it so as soon as I hear the song I wait 15 minutes and then I grab the egg and run from them lol.

So far I have gotten 1 egg a day from Ratatouillefor 3 days straight and 1 from Ratty Patty

The first get got laid between 7 AM-8:45AM and the second one was between 9:30 AM- 10:30 AM

I forgot to mention that i collect the eggs as soon as they lay them so that they don't get broody , I am super happy !!
