I think last winter in this part it got to be about -15.
And yes, I am going to have a lot of time on my hands so I will be able to give them LOTS of attention : )

It will still be a month or two until we build the coop, so haven't done much research on what to do, plus my Dad will be taking care of that.
I do plan on heating the coop, but the chickens will still have the option to go outside if they want. Yes, we do have a local TSC but we are wanting less than six, so I'm probably going to buy from Mypetchicken.com since they vaccinate.
