WOW, a blue egg with 3 YOLKS!!!, dont' americanas lay those, aren't they on the smaller side of chickens...? cause dang, I've never had a 3 yolker...& wow yea 3.4 is great, My little leghorn is so small I just can't believe she can hatch something that big...its crazy...glad I ain't a chicken!
No kidding, Whitey is our smallest chicken, I can grab her in 1 hand & my hand's small, yet she lays the biggest eggs - usually & the only 1 to lay dbl yolkers
Yea thats what I thought, it was perfectly clean too & she's always got a dirty butt!! for being so white...and named Whitey...my dad was like "DANG!! -- its clean, that egg is so big its a SELF CLEANER!" lol
Ok I looked it up & 1oz= 28.35g......so 3.5 oz is the same as 99.2g
So yea, 87.5 is pretty big, lets see thats about....3.1 oz.
Yea usually avg size of my white leghorn & RIR eggs are around 2.2 oz or so, which is about 62.3g
Here is my Whitey, my white leghorn egg the other day, she's laid multiple eggs like this in the past almost 2yrs but this time I finally weighed it, a whopping 3.5oz!! My other 2 RIR eggs only weighed the usual 2.2oz & 2.3oz.
