clarification:
* the chickens are in a fenced area, the fence was obviously not amazingly sturdy if he got in.
* a land co-op is just what it sounds like, some people owning land together, this way what is built on the land can be controlled and no huge say...
also does anyone know any where where i could get some barred plymouth rock chicken in the VT/NH area to replace my neighbors chickens?

i would like to mention a couple of things.
this is a land co-op, there are no fences and everyone involved would like to keep it that way. my neighbors also have a dog and the SSS option is not one they would take. these are animal lovers... all animals. this is something that happens. before...
this has never happened before but my dog attacked my nieghbors chickens. i was told that tieing the dead chicken around the dogs neck helps. but i know a great deal about dog beahvior and i can't figure out how this would help. does any one have any suggestions as to what i should do to make...
