Agree 100%!! I ended up with a recessive white silkie-feathered Cochin bantam out of some blacks and I don't find that I mind solid white on her with her fuzzy feathering as much as I do on other birds. :love

Just not combined with crests, with the exception of like Brabanters and their mohawk crests. Beard + big crest = no face, and I like my chickens to have faces.
I haven't had any problems with hardiness in my Silkies. I also love, love silkie feathering. I mean, they're fuzzy like babies their whole life, what's not to love about that? :love
