If that works out, that'll be great - I can tell you snow doesn't slide off my metal roof (though my pitch is probably slightly less steep) and there's no way I can reach up to clear it. It does look like you'd stil need more ventilation though (guessing the ridge vent is... 4" across by 8'...

x2. I don't get heavy snow but every year my ridge vent gets covered by snow, so it does not provide any airflow during those times. Looks like here the ridge vent is the main ventilation, and with walls being short I'm not sure where would be a good place to add more ventilation.
