    I have hardware cloth over the windows and doors in the stall. The dust is not a problem as there is a roof and such over the tack room so it's clean in there anyway. Plus we have covers on almost anything that could be dusted :) There is a light over the stall already, you just can't see it...

    I have and it's not a problem. The horses only come in when we are tacking them up before a ride, and it's not for very long. The barn is dusty anyway from the hay and such. It won't be a problem. :)

    ok! thanks for the replies. Something covering the top is a must as we do have raccoons in the barn occasionally because we leave cat food out for our barn cats so it has to be a secure coop. I thought about running 2x4's over the top like a foot or so apart and then putting hardware cloth over...
