I have hardware cloth over the windows and doors in the stall. The dust is not a problem as there is a roof and such over the tack room so it's clean in there anyway. Plus we have covers on almost anything that could be dusted
There is a light over the stall already, you just can't see it, and the whole barn has tons of outlets all over so that's not a problem either. Our barn cats and dogs pretty much keep everything out of the barn, but we are making it super secure anyway.
This is all going to be trial and error. We have a good running coop at the other end of the property but I don't want to experiment with those chickens lol So we are going to see if it works to have them in the barn. It's a good setup, i think. The barn is fairly secure. and the coop itself will be very secure for them. I'm excited to get my babies again!!
