after a closer look at your photos mine are all like photo #1
your chipmunks have whitecheeks and lighter beaks
most of mine have wings like photo #1 with the brownish patterned on the wings
the down is black they do not have feathers...

my chicks hatched 22 april weekend and not all of them have wing feathers yet
i want black chickens not brown
might they evolve to black as they mature ?????
i plan on caponizing the brown roos
with the help of my friend who is also a vet
even though he has never done it before

Best bet is to try to avoid interfering! first peeps then pips then zips then pop goes the top...
i tried to make the images appear...........no luck i will try again at a later date
im not very good with a camera or a computer
the last photo is of a chick with very little white
all my chicks have black beaks and dark legs

well 10 of my 12 iowa blue eggs hatched
my chicks look like the ones from kari
with the black with black beaks
i will try and post photos
why do the chipmunk chicks have yellow beaks???
