    I don't think 'inbreeding' really matters as much in birds. If you were to do it a lot (mother to son, then grandson, then greatgrandson and so on) you would eventually get deformities. Most people 'line breed' to perfect type. I know it is no big deal, so I assume it's not with quail either...

    Aha! Now you bring up the dominant/recessive stuff! I had forgotten about that! So, since my one and only blueface is a df male, does that mean that all his chicks will be blueface?
