Breed/Strain/Diet will all make a difference. If you store them for 3 months at a high humidity, they will still be tough if not enough water evaporated for the cooked egg and shell to have some space between them. 3 months at LOW humidity I'm sure eggs will pop right out of the shell.

Another thing you can do to speed up the process is just let your eggs sit out on the counter for a few days or a week. You don't have to refrigerate eggs. The idea is to make sure the egg loses some moisture so the albumin isn't as pressed up to the shell.
