Please Help! Hardboiled egg problems...

My g-ma used to poke 2 holes in the egg before she put it in to cook.

Breed/Strain/Diet will all make a difference. If you store them for 3 months at a high humidity, they will still be tough if not enough water evaporated for the cooked egg and shell to have some space between them. 3 months at LOW humidity I'm sure eggs will pop right out of the shell.
