    Well just an update, started letting my birds free range and my wife started giving them treats. Now they are laying regularly again and walter the rooster is doing his job because the eggs are fertile. I even have 10 in the incubator just for fun.

    Well its been over 3 months since the hens quit laying and all of the sudden we have an egg. Is the strike over? See what happens tomorrow I guess.

    Egg laying ceased before hot temps. I have since had a couple go broody and several have molted. No evidence o f eggs being eaten. Never had this problem before. Have not considered worms but have checked for other parasites. None were present though.

    No one? Dont have much luck getting advice on these forums but I guess most people in the BYC raise chickens as pets and have very little knowledge of raising their own food or animal husbandry. City people think chickens are people too.

    Still no eggs. Not even a single here or there. Been almost three months since they quit laying. Cant figure this one out. Any help?

    They dont get to free range due to the foxes in the area, but they have a run.

    Got 4 austrolrps and 1 silkie hen that produce eggs daily since spring began, then one day one went broody and I used her in another pen to hatch eggs. My other hens quit laying and another went broody sitting on nothing. I have since added the brood hen back and got the broodiness to stop, but...
