Hatheries, once again, have confused the issues. A New Hampshire is supposed to be lighter than a RIR, but their stock in both breeds varies considerably.
She looks more like a Production Red type, but hatchery NHs vary in color. Mine are bright, shiny coppery orange with some black in their hackles and tail area. Here's Penny.
