Supposed to be a storm coming in Sunday night or Monday, might just move them from house to pen during the day for another week until the temps settle...Im worse than a mother hen, husband says cut the apron strings and let them be..lol
Do you think it's ok to move the chicks outside now. I'm here in Southern Illinois. I bought them back in early February and they are fully feathered and they definately don't want to stay in their crates anymore. Between the poop and dust, I know I'm ready for them to move.

Southern Illinois has their swap at the sale barn in Gorville on Saturdays 6 am to 10 am each month. Not sure of the date these start up but they run until about October.

Hey neighbor. I thought I was the furthest south but you have me beat.
I thought the same thing. Glad to know there are some of us down here finding the site. Welcome and be careful, it's addictive. lol
Is there any here in Southern Illinois that has gone to the poultry swap down in Goreville at the sale barn? I keep missing it and there is only one left next month.
Ok I noticed the posts were quite a bit old, but thought I would drop my two cents in here too. I'm from Southern Illinois between Herrin and Johnston City.
