There were some huge ones in the show cages and I was amazed at the size and beauty of them. Paticularly the roosters in the cages near the far end...maybe on the first or second row.
It was great! Weather was perfect. I saw some white face black spanish...even though they were bantams. Met Ronnie Profitt...too cool! The modern games were really neat. Wish I had gotten some. Huge buff orpingtons! Can't wait for next year! LOL

That little black silkie I got from you got nabbed by a hawk or owl this afternoon. I heard her and the two roosters near her screaming. Thankfully he only got her by the feathers and they broke off so she fell. Not sure from how far but I think she is okay. Scared to death though. That...

Supposed to be teens here too! I am looking forward to Saturday and am counting on warmer weather. I went last year and it was nice. Bringing a friend this year who hasn't been before.

Sharon let me ask around here I know people around here that raises the Non SQ Silkies.
THanks girl! I have the two I got from you and the showgirl I kept and one other crossbeak hen so they are a motley crew. Don't want to hatch any just want them to be happy.
I need non-show quality. I have too many silkie roos and need to provide relief for the two hens I have. I don't want to have to worry about maintaining fluffy do's. If anybody has any ugly hens with little fluffs I could use a couple of them! LOL

ETA: unless someone wants black silkie...

What are you bringing to sell?
sharon
Well I'm undecided. I'm thinking about bringing only the ones that are spoken for, but I really need the space.
So far I've decided to sell
White and black bantam Cochins ages from 2-4 months
BLRW and LF Salmon Faverolles cockerels 2-4 months...

There are always a lot of Silkies there. They may be pullets and not hens, but probably not far away from laying.
Okay thanks! Doesn't matter if they are laying yet....got too many roosters and need some hens. Don't want to take a chance on any more roosters!
