THE Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco Thread; Hatches, etc. (PICS)

Temperatures issues with my new Eco20 Advanced, I set the temp in the digital display to 99.5F, but I am only getting 97 to 98F readings at/below egg level. I am using a Brinsea spot check which is suppose to be the most accurate digital thermometer out there, also verifed with a couple other...

THE Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco Thread; Hatches, etc. (PICS)

Day 27 for my welsh harlequin hatch, so far 7 live ducklings, looks like one might be dead in egg, a few more eggs in the Brinsea with pips... Way to crowded and messy in the incubator, so 12 hours after the 1st one hatched I move the 7 that hatched and cleaned out the shells. Did this in the...

THE Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco Thread; Hatches, etc. (PICS)

Not easy to do with a Brinsea Oct20eco, but it is reccomended in some of the literature to drop the temp by 1 to 2 degrees while uping the humidity. Sometimes high temp + humidity could be deteremental to chicks/poults/ducklings. So I did drop my temp on the brinsea glass thermo to 98.5F but my...

Here's where I am at ... Brinsea Oct20 Eco. Day 24 for my 13 welsh harlequin duck eggs.... removed the turner, layed the eggs on their sides, and started uping the humidity/dropping the temps. Tomorrow will be the official lockdown day.

Yes I am monitoring the temps closely, but right now seem to be stable. I might try the fan method you use next setting, especially if the air temps get warmer here. Tomorrow is day 20 for me so I'll candle the last time.

Well not sure if this is normal for a Oct20 Eco, but my temps were pretty stable, I was running in the 99 to 99.5F range until day 15, since then my temps have started creeping upwards towards the 100 to 100.5F range and have stayed there. I've been cranking the temp control back gradually from...

The only issue so far I have with my OE20 is the temp control reostat, in the instructions they make it sound like you set it, and screw the door on, and don't touch it again. I'm not finding that, maybe it's my anbient room temps? Right now my temps look good, so I'm not touching it hopefully...

Anyone here using a wet bulb thermometer in their Octagon 20 Eco ? Just wondering what you are using & how you have it setup in the Oct20 so it doesn't roll around ? Any pictures would be helpful...

Ok ... thanks for the guidance, so far the humidity looks good right now on 30% RH, did not add any water so far to the troughs Still deciding on where my temp is at, the brinsea glass thermometer shows 100.2, but then 2 other thermometers on top of the eggs show 98, and a digtital thermometer...

Just put 16 Midget white turkey eggs in my Oct-20 eco, Wish me luck .... Looking for guidance on the range of humidity people have had success with during incubation. The dry incubation method says 25-35 % RH should be ok, anyone run their Oct20 in this range during incubation ? I have the...
