Unable to Stand? UPDATE. Tried to reintroduce her and now she is back inside

Put some poultry vitamins with electrolytes, such as SaveAChick into the water, and feed this to your chick by dipping it's beak into the water or using a dropper carefully, as often as possible today and tonight. It may have a vitamin deficiency or be suffering from shipping stress. Can you describe the symptoms?

On vitamins, as a deficiency could be the case.

We start our new chicks, out of the box on Grobel or Grobal +B, you just mix it with water and it turns this beautiful color of bluish green, and they suck it up! It reminds me of a gel like hydrating solution with vitamins---a bit like a hydrating Gatorade or the like! The chicks Love It!

The Grobal seems to give them a boost out of the box, as they have yet to be fed or watered. It seems after the Grobal they begin to drink the water and eat the chick crumbles without any problems.

However, Sometimes, you will just lose a few chicks in the first few days, it is somewhat common.

We have raised meat bird chickens and receive orders of 15-35, and often will lose a few. They ship them shortly after hatching, which must be somewhat traumatic!

However, our most recent batch, 41 total-well, we haven't lost one of them yet! Surprising, actually!

Now, as for our two lost hens---with the weak legs,...still sad and unsure but.... Thank You for all of the advice, and condolences! :love. I appreciated all of it!

We weren't able to have our birds tested, but I have the info bookmarked in the event we have this soon, or in the future!

I am and will be concerned that more will get this, especially IF it was any of the dreaded diseases we were predicting!?! Ugh:idunno
 
Thanks for all the notes! I thought she may improve, and honestly was shocked one died the next day while the other lasted an entire week!?!

No others have yet to have any problems...so, hoping that continues.

Gosh, I don't know why some are having weak legs, and are tipping. It makes me wonder, is it just some are and always will be weaker, or that the bird has a disease, illness, vitamin or mineral deficiencies, and/or something else?:rolleyes:

I try to accept it is part of the circle and cycle of life, and some will not make it! BUT, it is also very concerning when we spend our time, money, resources ...on them...not to mention we become attached to them! It can be frustrating and heart breaking!
