Hello, I'm Tiffany. I guess I jumped right in on some of the breed and gender forums without ever posting an introduction, so here goes...
We are a first-year chicken family (2015). We moved to TX, and stayed on a friend's land for a while. When they moved a few months later, we inherited their small flock of chickens (with a lovely roo), as well as by then having raised a batch of feed store chicks who are now laying for us as well.
After some searching we found a lovely little place with a bit of space, no city restrictions on animals, and otherwise wonderful.
"Chicken math" has set in - we have a mixed flock of around 50 at this point.
