hi I’m new to the site I sell eggs and one old lady said 1 out of every 3 eggs has small brown spots the eggs are coming out of 2 year old hens she thinks there sick anyone have any ideas she says the spots aren’t blood spots

i get that too sometimes, its nothing really. nothing to worry about. wont harm you and i dont think it means that the chicken are sick.. its a natural thing i think

funy since this has popped up at byc, Ive had several spots to show up in my pullets eggs. I examined one closely and found it to be a small clot.
sounds gross, yes it does, but as with tiny specks of blood I just use em anyway.
One boiled egg had several clot specks on its surface. It was indeed unusual. I cut them away with a small knife. No harm done.
I dont think IVe ever seen this until it was mentioned on this site now its almost a norm. a.j.s

My two black australorps lay eggs that have brown spots on them too.It started about two weeks ago,but the hens appear to be as happy as can be:)
I still eat the eggs and haven't got sick yet

The spots are I think are called meat spots. Perfectly ok to eat. I get them too every once in awhile. I have seen some other posts on other threads addressing this.
