what age can you leg band chicks? And is there a good source for them on the Internet?

Any age but you MUST check them at least twice a week for tightness until they are fully grown. If you use zip ties and leave them fairly loose you can usually get away with 3 or 4 changes before they are grown. Never put a snug band on a growing bird. Never put a tight band on any bird.
