I've searched and searched and can't find an answer one way or the other, so hopefully you have one. I have 10 chickens and 3 Khaki ducks in the same coop. I know at least one chicken has worms, so I got some Wazine 17. If the chickens have worms, I assume the ducks could have them? Should I treat them also with Wazine? I will be following up with some Ivermectin, is this safe for them also? In case it matters, I'll be using the pour on Ivermectin.

Thanks!

Well, since I didn't get an answer I tried it, and in case someone else could use the info, I gave it to them in the same dose as the chickens and it didn't bother them a bit!

your are throwing your money away. Ducks & Geese drink a lot of water so they are not getting the proper amount to do any good. There is no way to determine the right amount unless you take away all other water. Then the amount may be to much for them based on the amount of water they drink. I use Flubenvet powder at 1/2 tsp per 4.4 lbs dry food for 7 days. I found it from a company in New York but it came from England

For worming ducks I give ivermectin orally using an eye dropper, 1 small drop for call sized ducks, and 2 or 3 for the larger ducks depending on size.

I used an eyedropper for Ivermectin on my Calls; Holderread's said to use 4 drops per Call duck by mouth. I measured the level four drops would make in the dropper ahead of time so I would know how much to draw for each duck. This would be the Ivermectin labeled for cows and hogs that you can get at farm stores in the little clear bottle.

i use Diatomaceous Earth to worm all the fowl (ducks, chickens, turkeys, chuckers) and for legged animals i have.it is not a poision so if my 2 yr.old grand baby happens to get in to it it won't kill her.also it is a great bug remover for your house flea remover for dogs and cats.
